McAuslan Brewing wins two gold, two silver and one bronze at the “Canadian Brewing Awards”

Montreal, September 15th, 2011 – Peter McAuslan, Founder and President of Montreal’s McAuslan Brewing brought home five medals from the “Canadian Brewing Awards” presented Friday night in Toronto at Club 99 Sudbury.

Gold for St-Ambroise Scotch Ale (category Scotch Ale) and St-Ambroise Pumpkin Ale (Pumpkin Beer), Silver for St-Ambroise Raspberry Ale (Fruit Beer) and St-Ambroise Vintage Ale(English Style Barley Wine), and Bronze for St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout (Stout).

These awards come four months after both St-Ambroise Pale Ale and Griffon Extra Pale Ale took the top spot in the Pale Ale and Blond category in the respected “Protegez-Vous” review of Quebec beers.

McAuslan Brewing is one of Quebec’s original microbreweries. Sold throughout Canada and the US, McAuslan is recognized by beer writers as one of Canada’s best brewers.

“We’re thrilled with the medals. Twenty years later, and we continue to win awards and accolades. We’re very proud of our brewing team and all our staff who made this happen”, comments McAuslan. 2011 has indeed been a good year for the St-Ambroise and Griffon beer family.

Thanks everyone!
